Our History: 2016-2020

In the fall of 2017, the Living Assistance Fund, with the support of many donors, provided the philanthropic support to launch the PACT program at McLean Hospital.

Within one year, the hospital converted the program from a pilot supported by philanthropy to a permanent program.

Philanthropy turned to providing scholarships for those who could not afford the out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance.

Since 2020, the focus for the Living Assistance Fund has been broader advocacy to address barriers to access, primarily through finding additional ways to fully finance PACT and Coordinated Specialty Care (for first episode).
